The most difficult Post I wrote.

Standard

I love blogging. I love writing. I love photography. But there was this one post that was most difficult to write. That was the post which I had to write after being nominated for The Liebster Award. Dont get me wrong. I love awards too. But the conditions that apply are too much. Give me an award if you like my work, but please don’t make me go through so many rules. I think most of us blog because there are no rules. So the whole purpose fails. I think the best reward is by liking a post, following a blog, and giving critical comments so as to share our thoughts. By the time I finished the post on Liebster Award I was depressed. I felt like a school kid or even a first timer at a job interview. It was as if my whole blogging journey depended on it.

I want to be a successful blogger, I want to be liked and I want to be free.

So, what do you think. Am I wrong about cribbing over having to write a long post that is required for me to win The Liebster Award.?

I may have antagonized many people out there and I may not get the award, but I had to write this.

And, please dont get me wrong, I want all possible awards, but please no rules.

Let us enjoy this freedom that all us bloggers enjoy in blogosphere.

I hope you agree.

Comments are more than welcome.

BE HAPPY ALWAYS

(If you get an award)

  1. This has given me a lot to think about as I was just nominated for the same award. I sat on the post for 3 weeks trying to write it. When I blog the words just flow but this time I had to really think. I was so relieved when I finally got it finished but now I’m thinking I might’ve put other bloggers on the spot by nominating them. Like I said lots to think about. Congratulations you on receiving your award. 😊

      • I do understand the premise for the award and the end result is to gain followers for each of your fellow bloggers. I just think you should write what’s in your heart if you choose to accept the nomination. And if not you were honest about how you felt and really thats the best gift to give yourself. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’“

  2. I totally agree with your post. In fact, I’m guilty in not writing (or start writing) my nomination from you… woops haha the rules put me off and I didn’t feel fair to nominate other bloggers for the sake of the rules also… I believe I never thanked you for your nomination, so thanks for your nomination!.. better late than never πŸ™‚

  3. Many decades ago I entered a writing contest with lots of rules. Way too many rules. I met all the rules, as did many other people. The winner won, because in the words of the only judge, “He made me laugh.” Well, making the judge laugh was not in the list of rules, and the writer didn’t meet any of the other rules. I have forever been soured on contests that have judges, regardless of how many judges. Even stuff like American Idol with each person being allowed 10,000 votes. No. Just plain wrong. Thus I do whatever I like and forget about trying to please others.
