Happy And Sad.

An Extreme Tale

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” — Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities

When was the last time that sentence accurately described your life?

The best of times and the worst of times co-exist in my life. Losing my parents when I was very young, made me a sort of a loner. The one time, when I was happy as I was sad was when my son was born. I was happy to have him, but at the same time I missed my dad. How I wished I could see my father holding my son.

As I am the youngest of three daughters, I was the favorite child. How happy would dad have been to see my family complete.

I know in the years to come , there shall be a lot of occasions when I will be happy, but always the absence of my parents will haunt me.

dad
