This huge statue of Chanakya is installed outside my club in delhi. I clicked the picture with my phone, as I wanted to show it to my son, who was not accompanying me at that time.

The Great Chanakya,as he is known in Indian history, was the pioneer of the field of political science and economics in India. He was the adviser of Chandra Gupta Maurya.

Two great books he wrote were the Arthashastra and Chanakya niti.

The Arthashastra discusses monetary and fiscal policies,  international relations, and war strategies in detail. The text also outlines the duties of a ruler.

Chanakya Niti is a collection of aphorisms.

Was definitely worth a click.
