villagers hunched
around smouldering hot embers
start of winter
as i go through the day
walking on my two feet
breathing on my own
as if I accomplished a feat

i can eat my own food
as i can see the beautiful world
with these middle aged eyes
the lovely view has unfurled

there would be a time
not so far in future, dear
when all this would be arduous
but please don’t fear

now you have it all
revel in the moment
don’t let time slip away
don’t be indolent
Hello everyone! I have finally published a book of my original haiku. Thanks to you all, its been a lovely heartwarming experience.
Its been great and I hope that in the future too, I shall continue writing and publishing more books.
The book is available on Amazon India and will be on Flipkart too in a couple of days.
Being a doctor by profession, it is an achievement of sorts for me. My dad was also a doctor, but he could never pursue his dream of writing. This is an ode to him.
My book cover has been designed by my son Vidur Mayor.
Hope to see a nice response from my friends out there.
THANK YOU GUYS FOR SUPPORTING ME THROUGH THIS.
