the night was long
the moon a perfect crescent
and she missed him
the night was long
the moon a perfect crescent
and she missed him
make memories
travel
fall in love
experience lust and passion
break and heal hearts
for these very memorable moments
will last you a lifetime
That is the beauty of life
You still live on mom and dad
In my blood… and
In the blood of my children
Long after you are gone
let us all go
to a parallel universe
where all is good
what is it I want?
that would give me happiness
and loads of mental peace
the masks have always been there
the kinds we could never see
the smile with the sad eyes
the lips with fake promises
were all masks
but
I prefer the ones I am wearing now
against the virus
for
my expressions are no longer visible
and
the freedom to be me
is liberating
judge me not
for my poetry is nothing
but just my thoughts on paper
it was just the other day
i was a girl full of youth
but today
when i saw the mirror
i saw a replica of my mother
and then… all of a sudden
life came full circle
the dark
plays games with me
sometimes
makes me love the solitude
but
then suddenly
loneliness takes over
peeping through
the stained window
seeing her grandchildren play
she
pined
for a slice of youth
