I love velvet in winters. This material has a nice shine to it, and looks royal and classy. For a small ceremony at a friends place, I wore this velvet long kurta with a velvet dupatta. My jewelry was ethnic, in gold and kundan.
You can also wear velvet in a simpler print and without the gold embellishments, for a simple dinner in winters.
