how I relish

the freshness of your breath

on my tired skin

wish you were here

to recharge my mind and soul

and make me liveable again

Stagnant waterfall.

Stagnant waterfall.

Something about this photo my son took that makes me feel alive. He captured this waterfall in motion. This was on our way to a hill resort last year.

Something like water , which is always so full of life, looks amazing when its motion is captured by a camera.

Leftovers Sandwich

Today, publish a post based on unused material from a previous piece –a paragraph you nixed, a link you didn’t include, a photo you decided not to use. Let your leftovers shine.

Life is too short.

No Time to Waste

Fill in the blank: “Life is too short to _____.” Now, write a post telling us how you’ve come to that conclusion.

Life is too short

To hate anybody

Life is too short

To be a nobody

Life is too short

To be at war

Life is too short

To be shown the door

Life is too short

To be without love

Life is too short

To forget the God above.

I thought of this after watching Homeland.

A Beautiful Life.

Buyers, Beware?

The year is 2214, and your computer’s dusty hard drive has just resurfaced at an antique store. Write a note to the curious buyer explaining what he or she will find there.

A Beautiful Life.

Hey there, you are lucky

To have found a treasure like this

All your friends will be jealous

And your girlfriend will give you a kiss.

This hard drive is old

But don’t you undermine its utility

It may not be worth a lot of money

Such a treasure you won’t find in the entire city.

It has beautiful photographs

Of a beautiful family

A number of lovely poems

Written so happily.

There is a diary in there

The one I wrote everyday

To lighten my heart

It has all that I ever wanted to say.

You shall live my life through this

Don’t miss this chance my friend

It was a beautiful life indeed

You will be happy,as your money will be well spent.

Second-Hand Stories

What’s the best story someone else has recently told you (in person, preferably)? Share it with us, and feel free to embellish — that’s how good stories become great, after all.

A picture is worth a thousand words …

This picture taken by my son tells a story, which he  has nicely described by the accompanying poem.

We see life while running fast,
With our minds trapped in the concrete jungle,
We forget to see the natural side of life,
We start to live in our own lies..

We have forgotten how to be free,
Owned by our technology, we’ve forgotten how to see,
See how beautiful life is outside our fake shell..
We forgotten how to make stories and tell..

We travel in our “safe” metal cocoons everywhere,
Running day and night, here and there..
Take the time to take out the old cycle you own,
Ride it down the street you everyday see, but have never known..

We forget to think how it feels to be free,
Think how much of the world, we’re yet to see..
Ask yourself where we’ve lost the simplicity,
Cause I see lanterns lit by electricity..

My Descent.

This week, show us your interpretation of descent.
