I see you
in these tough times
and that is enough
I see you
in these tough times
and that is enough
there is always a glow
in somebody else’s house
looking from the outside
but
you cannot imagine
your house
to have the same luminosity
when others
view you in your home
so
It always is not true
what glitters…
is not always heaven
winter night
a dog barking in the distance
maybe he wants a home
the mountains
are welcoming and beautiful
but I still pine for home

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Places.”
I love the deep blue sea
The beaches with the white sand
The sound of waves lapping at the shore
The horizon …the end of landI like the imposing mountains
Reaching up to the sky
The cool air rejuvenates
It sure gives me a highBut of all the places in the world
My home is my haven
I built it up from scratch
My life it does enlivenI love its modest bearings
I love the hidden secrets
I love the ingrained memories
It supports me in my moment of weakness.

the creaky stairs
the unpainted door
the cracked windows
the unpolished floor
……………………………………..
the musty smell
of the old wood
reminds me of the days
of my childhood
…………………………………..
i love the balmy breeze
that flows in on summer days
i belong here i know
this is where my heart stays
………………………………………
i am attached to this house forever
it was here i was born
my childhood still stays here
it was here my parents i did mourn
…………………………………………
i belong here i know
this is my paradise
i wish to be born again
in this house i emphasize
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Free Association.”
as i sit inside my home
i hear the rain falling
the smell of wet soil fills my senses
