it’s fulfilling
it’s an emotional journey
being a mother
it’s fulfilling
it’s an emotional journey
being a mother
take me home
let me cuddle in your lap
I miss u mom
Sleeping like a baby
Getting up in your mother’s lap
Being bathed and dressed by her
Oh what a recap
Boarding the school bus
With tears in your eyes
Pressing your face to the window
As you wave her goodbye
Waiting for the school bell to ring
So you could rush back home
Dying to see her again
As you felt so alone
That was a time when
You could not bear to be away from her
And now she is long gone
But the memories do not blur.
Give me those moments back
I want to be that child again
When you could be carefree and happy
She was there to bear all the pain.
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Circle of Five.”
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
we were fiveĀ
when i was born
my family and me
to each other we were drawn
………………………………………………………..
a bit stubborn
like my mother
emotional like my dad
not like some other
…………………………………………………………
i look like my sisters
and behave like them too
we have a bond so strong
no one can construe
………………………………………………….
and then i am like me
i have some thing of my own
it is unique no doubt
but together we make a home
