I love it. The charm of silver jewellery! You can never go wrong with huge silver baali ‘s, a silver choker, a horde of silver bangles….
Whenever you want to uplift a simple outfit, just add a chunky silver piece. It has the old world charm along with the modern quirkiness. Also a big silver cocktail ring adds a lot of fun to your look.
Not to mention that the oxidised look in silver is more attractive than the shiny look.
It has the modern with the old world charm. Silver accessories go well with Indian, Western and fusion wear.
So girls… go silver!!!!!

Winter Florals.
Blue Is The New Black
Yess…for me this is true. I am huge fan of this color. I also mix blue with black for an interesting look.
I wear longish outfits, as they are slimming and suit my age.
Here, I am wearing a blue kurta with black palazzos, and a navy blue long fine knit sweater. (sorry for the bad picture quality…working towards it!)
I have accessorized it with a silver necklace with Lapis Lazuli beads, that I got from Jaipur.
Wore this to an evening at a winter carnival .
To take care of the walking, wore nude flats
ENJOY!
Short black jacket.
My favorite in winters is black. I think it’s everyone’s favorite.
Because I wear Indian wear to work,I have to stylishly wear my black multipurpose sleeveless jacket with my kurta.
Here I am wearing a short black quilted silk jacket with an ink blue kurta. The blue and black is a lively and dramatic combination. The Jacket is from FabIndia and the kurta is custom made.
The jacket has very fine quilting and is ideal for this weather.
I have teamed the kurta with black tights and silver jewellery.

This jacket can also be teamed up with jeans and a top.
A simple smart outfit for daily wear.
These are my silver accessories.
Hope you liked the look.
Fall Clothing…Colors Of India.
Winter is starting to make its presence felt here in Delhi. There is just a slight nip in the air.
For an evening out I wore this fusion ensemble. Layering has always been a passion, and here I layered my kurta with an off white cotton embroidered jacket from Janpath.. As my winter clothes are still deep inside my closet,I had no option but to make do with my summer separates. It was a bonus that the colors matched the colors of the Indian flag.
The kurta is from Fabindia.
I am wearing off white palazzos.
Nude slippers, silver cuff and a matching bag complete the look.
ENJOY!
Color Blocked Kurta
I always maintain that fashion should be comfortable and it should look good on you. One should not follow trends blindly.
For me and my work environment, I mainly stick to long kurtas. It definitely gives a slimmer silouhette and looks good.
Here I am sharing with you my favorite color blocked kurta, that I bought from a boutique in delhi. I have paired it with palazzos and also a black dupatta. As it is fall, deep colors look very nice.
My all time silver jewellery finishes the look.
When there is a lot of color in your outfit, always go for nude slippers.
This kurta is priced at INR3500.
It always is a good idea to have a capsule wardrobe of basic must haves like nude slippers, black lowers and statement neckpieces . That way, you just have to buy uppers, and then it is easy to mix and match.

Wear Indigo.

Love the color Indigo. It is a nice change from black, but with the same intensity.
I am wearing a long indigo cotton kurta with plain collars. This adds a nice shirt look to the kurta.
The front strip on the kurta has two offbeat colors to add some quirkiness…yellow and peacock blue.
The kurta is long and I am wearing a light denim ankle length pants .
I am wearing flat silver slippers. A nice diamante chrono watch by Fossil completes the look. As a necklace I am wearing a silver hasli. Also a nice broad silver cuff adds the required richness to the outfit.
The whole outfit is for around INR3500, except the watch and jewellery.
Hope you like it.
ENJOY…HAVE FUN!
Go Black In Indian Wear.

The best way to go formal easily is to wear black. You can add shimmer by way of accessories. Here I am wearing a long black lawn pakistani kurta with black pyjama pants. To add a hint of shimmer ,I have worn silver chappals and a pure silver necklace with orange beads. The kurta and pyjamas along with the slippers cost around INR 3500.
The silver necklace is for around INR4000 picked up from an exhibition. I wore this to a club. It was an informal dinner with friends.
Hope you like the look!

LONG KURTA WITH PYJAMAS.
Hi folks! Now that I have introduced you to the indian wear terminology,I am going to go ahead and show how the demure kurta can be worn.
Here I am wearing a printed pakistani print kurta with black cotton pyjamas. the pyjamas are slightly above ankles and the kurta is quite long.
I wore this while traveling. It is comfortable and looks fresh.Got a lot of compliments for this outfit.
The length of the kurta gives a slimming effect.
A nice wear for fall.

You can wear heels with this outfit, but I wore flats, as I wanted to travel in comfort. The nude color goes with everything, so I had to pack less.
My silver neckpiece from Jaipur, is an all time favorite of mine.
My whole outfit except the accessories, costed just INR 4500(shoes included)
ENJOY!
