A week in Mauritius with my sisters….oooh ….pure bliss. I missed u guys though. Here are some pictures from my vacation….

The vacation is over and I am back to the daily grind. Work, household chores and the works. To make things difficult there is the holiday weight gain, tanning and the post vacation blues. So here is what I do to get my life back on track after the lively holiday.
1) Holiday weight.

Binging on cookies , choc chip cookies and liquor does take a toll on your weight. Now stuffing yourself silly is the best part of holidays .But when the needle on the scale shoots up , what to do.

.Hide it till it doesn’t disappear. Back from a week long vacation , I am horrified to see the scale. Now have to go back to work and cannot bear to hear the exclamations of coworkers… Oooh you have had a great holiday it seems. Your weight shows it. So what do. I do till I go back to my pre holiday weight. I dress accordingly . What is my post holiday dress up mantra?
.Dress in dark colors. Black, navy, dark brown, deep purple whatever is your favorite color wear it.
* Cover it… Carry a stole or a dupattas to hide what you don’t want to flaunt.
* Wear heels ..wearing heels can add a slimming effect. If you have to go for work wear comfortable wedges. Try to wear nude shoes so that it gives the impression of Long legs.
* Lastly dress up well. Nice hair nice makeup will shift the focus away from the weight.
* Wear shapewear .
* Get on to a fitness regime asap. Exercise, diet , lots of water all will help u too get back into shape fast and so darlings before you know you are ready for your next vacation.
2) Go for a rejuvenating spa and facial.
Helps remove exhaustion and the facial helps remove the dirt and grime, preparing you for the weeks ahead. Not to mention the glow it gives you.

3) Plan your next vacation.

Before you land on home turf start planning for your next holiday. That is what I do. My next trip out of town is already planned before I am home. That keeps up the excitement and helps avoid the post vacation depression. Keep the adrenaline flowing.
4) Enjoy the photographs.

They help you to relive the glorious moments.Sit with your family and friends and go back into time as you watch the videos and pictures from your vacation. That itself is like a mini holiday. Stack up on snacks, cocktails or mocktails and devote a whole evening catching up on the memories of the wonderful time you had.
5) Cultivate a hobby.

I do that. Whenever I am back from a long vacation , I START ON A NEW HOBBY. It maybe reading, writing or cooking. The key is to keep the adrenaline flowing.
It really works.
Till your next holiday!
BE HAPPY ALWAYS
XOXO
Off we go…

My walk of contemplation.
Keep the fire burning.

My “ME” moment.

I dared to switch off , to disconnect!!! Can u believe that? All you fans of cyberspace know that staying away from your blogging family.your facebook friends and WhatsApp buddies is a torture. But this vacation …I DID IT. I did not post for nearly a week nor replied to comments .I only know how tough it was initially but after a day the withdrawal led to anticipation and excitement. My mind opened to the world around me. Random thoughts became more organized. I started to wait eagerly for you lovely people. The husband , the children and me reinvented ourselves. And now I am back fresh and rejuvenated dying to get back in the loop. But let me tell you one thing I realized in this vacation, “When you love fashion, there is no weekend. Everything just blends together”.
So waiting to write FASHION 🙂
BE HAPPY ALWAYS
XOXO
